Lewis Mitchell is a seasoned wine and spirits consultant, educator, writer, and entrepreneur, with over two decades of experience shaping beverage appreciation in Singapore. As co-founder of Le Vigne Wines & Spirits (2002) and The ExciseMan Wine & Whisky Bar (2018) in Singapore, he has championed premium wines and whiskies through masterclasses, private and corporate tastings, and industry training.

Holding a Certificate in Distilling from the UK’s Institute of Brewing and Distilling, Lewis has served as a Judge for the Singapore World Spirits Competition (now Asia World Spirits Competition) since 2019, bringing both expertise and a global palate to the judging table. His industry contributions include consulting for restaurants, clubs, and trade bodies such as the New Zealand and French Trade Commissions, as well as having written for The Business Times, SilverKris Magazine, and Cask & Drams.

Beyond the written word, he produced a whisky video series for a Japanese investment firm, is a founding member of the Brandy Revival online community, and was inducted into the prestigious Ordre des Coteaux de Champagne in 2017. Born in Singapore, Lewis has a professional background in econometric modeling, investment research, journalism, and international airline operations, Lewis brings a uniquely analytical and worldly perspective to the drinks industry.
