As a maverick with boundless imagination and a relentless desire to experiment, reinvent and grow, Andrew marries his unique background in psychology with his extensive expertise in hospitality to create experiences like no other.
Andrew has a passion for education and storytelling. He leads the advocacy and prestige programs and consumer engagements for Suntory Global Spirits in key South-east Asian markets. A familiar face in the Asian cocktail scene, he has represented brands across Suntory’s portfolio in various whisky dinners and bartending guest shifts with award-winning cocktail bars around Asia.
Andrew is also the owner and founder of Bar Spectre, a mental wellness themed bar in Singapore. Reframing sustainability in Singapore’s context where the only natural resource are her people, Bar Spectre hopes to raise the awareness of mental health care and lower the barrier to entry to therapy and coaching through simple talk therapy and self guided exercises that come with every signature beverage. To date, Spectre has secured over 300 hours of free therapy for the industry and hopes to work with the relevant agencies to enact change at ground level as well as policies for the betterment of the hospitality industry. “By incorporating therapy within our hospitality, we are better able to show, by action, that therapy is not scary and simple practices can improve your mental health”.
