Francisco Bazo

Francisco Bazo grew up in Lima, Peru. A current Alameda resident, he has lived in the Bay Area for over 20 years, working in the restaurant industry the entire time. He recently opened Alley & Vine, a California restaurant in Alameda featuring creative food & innovative drinks. Previously, Francisco was the Bar Manager at One Market Restaurant and the Beverage Director at Waterbar. Francisco is a Certified Sommelier and is pursuing further certificates with the Court of Master Sommeliers. He is also seeking accreditations with the Wine & Spirits Education Trust. Francisco is heavily involved in the local and national beverage community and judges at the San Francisco International Wine Competition. He was sponsored by the Washington State Wine Commission and travelled to the state multiple times in pursuit of further education, knowledge, and connections.
