As the President and Founder of Laws Whiskey House, you could say Alan Laws is obsessed with whiskey. Driven by passion, Al set out with a vision to make whiskey without compromises and a goal to create not just a distillery, but a village of like-minded people who shared his life’s interest.

Laws Whiskey House was founded in Denver in 2009 and its first barrel was filled on July 4th, 2011. Laws Whiskey House’s brand mantra is “There Are No Shortcuts” and to ensure the product met the brand’s quality standards, Al patiently waited more than 3 years until October 2014 to sell his first bottle of whiskey. Today, Al is in charge of refining every aspect of operations and production. On top of that, he is responsible for building the Laws Whiskey House village, creating a culture with a collective goal of making and sharing the best whiskey possible. It is this village of diverse individuals he credits as the soul of Laws Whiskey House and of which he is the proudest.
