Rich, soft, and velvety with a surprising brightness typical of this Côtes du Rhône-inspired wine. Overtones of mandarin skin are detectable on the finish of this spectacular example. Co-ferment with 98% Syrah and 2% Viognier for a brighter, more sophisticated blend.

From a food perspective, it’s a safe speculation that it pairs remarkably well with the Scottish national dish, but haggis has been banned in the USA. If you are not quite that daring, any spicy sausage dish or robust barbeque will go a long way with this wine.
