Ingredients

2 oz rye whiskey or cognac

1 sugar cube

3 dashes Peychaud’s bitters

.25 oz absinthe

Instructions

Rinse chilled glass with absinthe and discard

Add sugar cube and bitters to a mixing glass and muddle

Add rye or cognac and ice and stir for 30 seconds

Strain into prepared glass

Express oil of one lemon peel and discard
