The 2024 Latin American World Spirits Competition (LAWSC), sponsored by the Guadalajara Conventions and Visitors Bureau, is proud to announce the finalists for its prestigious Best in Class categories. The winners of these awards will be exclusively covered by Joe Micallef, an esteemed judge in the competition and Forbes writer, beginning on Tuesday, December 3. This inaugural competition took place over two days, November 5-6, in Guadalajara, Mexico, and saw 250 remarkable entries from across Latin America. With a judging panel of experts from both Mexico and the United States, the competition maintained The Tasting Alliance’s high standards while embracing a distinctly Latin American perspective. Through rigorous blind tastings, the judges selected the following finalists for Tequila and Mezcal Best in Class categories:
