The results from the 2024 Singapore World Spirits Competition are in, and The GlenAllachie 15-Year-Old Speyside Single Malt Scotch has been named Best Distillers’ Single Malt Scotch 13-19 Years.

Located in the heart of Speyside, The GlenAllachie Distillery has a rich history dating back to 1967, with a focus on producing whiskies that emphasize quality over quantity.

The GlenAllachie 15-Year-Old is matured in a combination of Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks, which imparts a deep and complex character to the whisky. On the nose, it offers a rich bouquet of dark chocolate, raisins, and cinnamon, with hints of heather honey and butterscotch. The palate is equally impressive, with layers of rich sherried fruit, treacle, and a touch of spice, all leading to a long, warming finish that lingers with notes of mocha and sweet spices.

Under the guidance of Master Distiller Billy Walker, The GlenAllachie has become known for its innovative approach to whisky making, particularly its use of exceptional casks and careful maturation processes. This 15-year-old expression is a testament to the distillery’s commitment to excellence and its passion for creating whiskies that offer both complexity and approachability.

The GlenAllachie 15-year-old’s victory is just one of many highlights from this year’s event. Stay tuned as we continue to explore and celebrate the outstanding spirits that have been recognized at this prestigious competition.
