Best Cabernet Sauvignon: Trujillo 2022 Gary Morisoli and Lamoreaux Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon

Hailing from Rutherford in Napa Valley, Trujillo’s 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon earned top honors as the Best Cabernet Sauvignon at SFIWC 2024. The judges praised its: 1) Aromatics: Blackberry, blackcurrant, and hints of vanilla. 2) Palate: Smooth and elegant with ripe tannins, brisk acidity, and rich dark fruits layered with cassis, dark chocolate, and toasted oak. 3) Finish: Long and smooth with lingering spice and black fruit notes

Best Cabernet Blend: Bryson Wines Jip Jip Rocks 2023 Single Vineyard Glenfife Padthaway Shiraz Cabernet 

This vibrant Australian blend by Bryson Wines stood out as the Best Cabernet Blend, showcasing the bold character of South Australia’s Limestone Coast. The judging panel highlighted its: 1) Aromatics: Plum, blackberry, and spice. 2) Palate: Full-bodied with deep dark fruit flavors. and 3) Finish: Velvety and long-lasting with lingering dark fruit notes.
