Top Shelf 2024 was an incredible success in our home city of San Francisco, where we were thrilled to welcome over 1,200 attendees across two vibrant days of tastings, classes, and networking. It was a unique chance to bring trade professionals and passionate consumers together to experience firsthand the excellence of our Tasting Alliance competitions. The event offered an extraordinary lineup, showcasing Double Gold-winning brands, insightful master classes, groundbreaking networking, and an unforgettable black-tie gala celebrating industry leaders. Grand Tasting
The Grand Tasting brought together over 70 Double Gold award-winning brands, allowing attendees to sample the best of the best across diverse categories of spirits. From neat pours to expertly crafted cocktails, guests had the chance to explore both familiar favorites and exciting new finds. Founders and brand ambassadors added a personal touch, mingling with attendees and sharing the stories behind each pour.
Master Class Sessions
For those wanting a deep dive, the master class sessions were a must-attend. With over 25 classes offered, both consumers and trade professionals gained hands-on knowledge in an intimate setting, learning directly from experts. Each session provided an interactive experience, giving attendees insight into the nuances of spirits and the industry.
Speed Networking
This year, we hosted our first-ever speed networking event, presented by MHW, exclusively for two-day trade pass holders. This exciting program connected attendees with top industry leaders specializing in areas like importing, distribution, retail expansion, and e-commerce. The event featured powerhouse companies such as Total Wine & More, Flaviar, SGWS, Park Street, and more, providing participants with invaluable opportunities to build relationships and expand their business networks.
Awards Gala
Top Shelf’s Gala was a grand finale to the event—a black-tie affair honoring the exceptional leaders and products that define the spirits industry. Guests were the first to celebrate the prestigious “Best in Class” and “Best in Show” awards from The Tasting Alliance competitions, while mingling with founders, master distillers, judges, and experts.
