Taking the top honor as the Best Pinot Gris of the competition was Tiki 2024 Single Vineyard Pinot Gris, a beautifully crafted wine that impressed judges with its layered complexity. Delicate aromas of pear, apple, and soft floral notes lead into a medium-bodied palate filled with ripe stone fruit flavors and a subtle hint of spice. The crisp finish, accented by a touch of minerality, makes this a standout example of the variety’s depth and refreshing character.

Two exceptional finalists were also in the running for the top award, each bringing a unique expression of Pinot Gris. Brancott Estate East Coast Pinot Gris 2023 captivated with its enticing aromas of Nashi pear, honeydew melon, and a subtle spice note. Its juicy, mouth-filling palate offered a harmonious balance of pear and melon flavors, complemented by a delicate sweetness that carried through to a refreshing, fruit-laden finish. Meanwhile, Miles from Nowhere 2024 Pinot Gris delivered a bright and lively experience, opening with fragrant notes of pear, lychee, and citrus blossom. On the palate, its light and crisp structure highlighted fresh pear flavors with a touch of citrus, leading to a clean, refreshing finish.
